Paraskiflex are made here in QC and quite popular for snowkite here
the paraskiflex bar and lines (usually short) is different from regular kite bar.
the bar is long, has no depower, the front lines are both attached to one extremity of the bar, while the rear lines are attached to the other
extremity.
the neutral position of the bar is vertical, and to turn the kite, we turn the bar like a steering
to change the AoA, just change the angle of the bar (like we would do with handles)
it's like flying the kite with a single big handle

Thanks for explaining that DLM"
It is the steering on a paraskiflex bar that has me baffled.
I would LOVE to get a shot at one some day.
I suspect this bar would work on an NPW as well ???

What amazed me was that the bar works at all with a kite certainly not designed for it! And pretty well, too.
I wonder if you could get lift from a flysurfer from it?

Nothing perforates kites much faster than a quick drag across asphalt.
I have a number of 0 wind dual line ULs that have the scars to prove that.
Pretty cool vid though.

flexboardz + short lines kite
well, thanks for noticing my effort...
as said by DLM, I copied paraskiflex bar : my purpose was 1) to be able to tack/jibe easily to ride a small area (like a parking lot) without having
to stop at each end (like with a kitewing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kjNWmH87FI ) and 2) to have a instantaneous power control for obvious safety reasons..
I must admit that it was not really a success...probably because the 9m2 open cell flysurfer was not the best choice...I will have to try with a real
parakiflex
