Board Bag

Guys, the GI Sherpa Board bag looks nice, but do any of you manage to fit your board with hubs on into a snowboard bag? Or do you just pony up for the Sherpa bag if you want a carrying case?

I've never used a bag but if the snowboard bags are cheaper or easier to get, I'm sure you could bring your landboard to a ski shop and ask them to let you see if the board would fit in their bag.

I've got a couple of snowboard bags, and I don't think the landboard would fit in any of 'em. The wheelbase is to wide as far as I can tell. Even the largest bindings on a snowboard still fold up more compactly than the wheels/trucks of a landboard.

I tried a snowboard bag and another large duffel from Goodwill - the wheel base didn't fit (esp. since I switched from 8" to 10' tires!).

But, I got a flimsy, zip-up, dollar store gown bag that I can at least keep in the back seat to stuff the board in (and protect my seat from all the wheel's goose/dog/mud/grass samples!).
