Favorite Bar and Lines?

Does anyone have a particular bar/line setup that you have found to work the best, or that has a better build quality than others? I am familiar with the 2009 Ozone bar/lines that come with the Access 6M kite (I assume all their kites come with the same bar/lines).
Do you tend to purchase a kite with that brands bar/lines, or do you guys find that the bars/lines are easily interchangeable between kite brands?

I like flexibility multiple bar/lines set up for lots different kites.

simple, durable, repairable

size of grip and length seem to be my criteria, for relaxed body position the bar needs to match your body dimension, (biigger kites do need bigger bars but not absolute).

the gadget factor is cool and nice for new the infinity loop is a tidy piece of hard ware.

new thread .... i want a bar

Flysurfer Infinity Bar
Best bar I've ever used. period.

And I have tried 2008 or 2009 North, Ozone, Eclipse, Best, Cabrinha, Liquid Force. They all are good bars, but they all have something that bother me, or is missing many features the Infinity gives me.

The reasons the Infinity bar is perfect to me.

1) I prefer a strap against a clam-cleat like ozone or north, or pulling ropes like Cabrinha.

2) The strap withing arm reach for short/average arms like me

3) I prefer a strap against a below the bar depower like liquid force or eclipse 2009. Impossible to depower while flying. your body is in the way to pull.

4) the strap is smooth to change up/down when lines are in tension

5) the swivel is in the loop, so easy to adjust if a twist does not untwist. swivels above the depower strap like BEST or Liquid Force dont always unswivel and are without hand reach

6) easy to eject and reload chicken loop (in water)

7) 5th line compatible and does not roll around front lines or depower line because goes trough loop middle hole. ozone and north dont.

8) can change bar length

9) has floats unlike to previous flysurfer bars

10) can hook the leash below the bar.

"are fly surfer bars sold individually?"

hi nht, the infinity bar is a sold seperate with the outlaw, and pulse, ($350) extra. nice piece of art. they come standerd with the Psycho4 kites. not sure if they come standerd with the silver arrow 19?? DenisLaMenace
will let us know..
i am getting the used to the simple bar that comes with the outlaw, but i"m looking forward on getting it modded.
i will be replacing the chicken loop for an ozone 2009 or 10, they have a new one that will have the option for the 5th line.;-)

I think an infinity bar would actually be a great upgrade for north kites as well. I had a 2007 north 5th element bar that I adapted to a peterlynn phantom and it couldn't hold a candle to the infinity bar.

I will say though that the north vario cleat seems to be the most functional cleat system I've ever used. too bad it such a pain in the butt to try and replace the depower line when it wears :(

btw I thought standalone infinity bars were $250?

See CORE kites

Another German company which makes LEI kites

They have the same bar and chicken loop as Flysurfer Infinity, so same supplier/manufacturer for sure !!

http://www.core-kites.com/content/view/14/55/lang,en/

Now I wonder who makes that bar/cloop for Core and Flysurfer. Probably another German company.

Ill stick with my 5th element. Iron heart is bulletproof. works everytime and easy to reset. Same with the vario cleat. simple and it works.
The Infinity might be nice, but if it aint broke why fix it?

yeah I can agree with that.

IronHeart and infinity loops release almost identically anyway.

the only advantage you get with infinity is the only swivel system I've ever used that actually works.
