Chicken Line/Depower Line Amsteel Size?

I'm needing to replace the depower line on my bar and on the Peter Lynn kite site it has two different sizes on two different parts that it specifies. Either 3/16"(5mm) or 5/16"(6mm?), 3/16" is like 50 cents per foot when 5/16 is 1.30 a foot. Would 3/16" be fine? Or should I just go with 5/16?

you have to do the knots,
the smaller will work but will be sloppy in the bar but makes tidy knots

the larger would be my choice the knotting is a little harder but the flow is tidy in the bar.

Ok, I kinda thought along those lines. I thought the smaller would be a little loose. Thanks Phree. Now on to pick some up at the local boating store ;)
