Journalism student- Want to do a multimedia piece for a magazine?

While visiting friends in CA we saw some rad kiters in SF and decided to do a story on them for the magazine I'm working on. I'm a student at the UO in Eugene.
Is there anyone that can help us provide some insight on this semi-quiet sport? Would be willing to spend a day hanging out at your favorite kiting spot on camera? It would fun for both parties!
We're doing photo and video.
Let me know as soon as you can!

If you can make it up to Sunset Beach (between Seaside and Astoria), you will probably find a good group of people- especially on the weekends if the weather and tides are good.

As Dagon said the norcal crew are way cool. I actually haven't met most of the kiters closer to me (think I gotta shoot some U2U's and work on that.) Are there any big, flat, kite or kite buggy/ATB friendly fields near the UofO? I'm sure we could set up something close to home or even over in Newport. Hmmm.... Might have to work on that. Also as, Art said, first hand experience would be a big plus. Kiters in general are a friendly bunch and all of them that I know are quite willing to help others get into the sport.

Hey, hows it going - sorry been busy with life as of late - the shoulder is getting much better - almost completely healed. It's a shame that not long after we did the interview in Frisco there has been a tightening of rules at Ocean Beach - no more buggying allowed - this has happened in the past when people think that buggying is not compatible with the general public. Hopefully your story could help with our cause to get the buggies back on the beach. I'll throw you a u2u with my email - would love to check out the picks from that day. I'm sure if you head out to the beach on a windy day up there someone will be out and about and would gladly help you out in your project.
