Hello All,

Well it has been a phenominal weekend! Wendy and I had 2 fantastic days with our new kites. She is now a forum member (Winkie) and I know it will not take long to get to know her. She is on line right now; my wonderfully addicted kite flying phenom of a girlfriend... Winkie.

Most of us can envy anyone who can share this passion with their S.O.

Particularly when it is someone (judging from her avatar pic) who looks like they could give Bri Cheml or Susi Mai a run for their money!

Welcome to the forum Winkie! Also welcome to this strange and wonderful addiction! My wife doesn't understand it. She thinks I'm going through a second childhood! I've told her that I never left my first, and I don't intend to. Constantly seeking the fun vibe! Bob

my first "mid-life" phase was briefly rediscovering Rock n Roll muzak.

For some reason not a lot of couples get into this at the same time ? I think it's going to be something that you will both enjoy.

Watch out for those people that are interested. They tend to walk in to your fly zone and that isn't safe.

Hi all

I'm new to the forum and the sport. I spent the saturday down at Garry Point where I met Ken (tdmc96) and a couple of the other guys. I have a 8m depower kite and am hooked, just need a buggy now, Static flying can only go so far. If anyone knows of a cheap buggy for sale please let me know.

That must be KDMC96 that you met ? I am not out to sell my buggy but I don't use it much. It is a junky little old thing but will allow you to get going and take the proper time deciding what you need. I can probably loan it to you for a while ?

Hi Bladerunner

I would be interested in buying it off you (if the price is right) and if you want to get rid of it. I just need something to get me started and then I'll step up once I get the hang of the it ........... so to speak. I went to GP this afternoon to fly my 8m for the first time............... that was interesting.

I live downtown Vancouver, is this anywhere close to you?
