When I'm on the snow, I'm kiteskiing. So when I stop, I land the kite, kick off my skis and point them away from the kite (upwind), then I hook the
brake lines around one of the ski's binding. The little anchors on the bindings that keep your skis from sliding backward when the binding is released
holds the skis and the kite in place.
A dog screw would work as well though I prefer not to kiteski with sharp objects.
Note: Kites tend to move around while parked on snow or ice. It's best to toss a couple small sand bags on the trailing edge if you plan to be parked
for any length of time. Clumps of snow will work in a pinch.
