I had a Flexi KS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K- break too, after bailing out while buggying. The threading sewing the loop at the end gave out. The bungee did not
break . I went to Home Depot and bought an appropriately sized aluminum cable ferrule and crimped it on to form a loop on the end of the bungee that
was once sewn into a loop. You'll need to use a swaging tool to crimp it down but it works fine. Looks pretty ghetto, but hey--I am "Pokitetrash".
Cost about $1.00 and it's still flying after almost a year.
