Kite Buggy the Gobi desert

Pittarak is the name, expeditions are their game... this time its a kite buggy tour across 1000km of the Gobi Desert.

Its day 3 for the team, as they kite buggy the Gobi. This is a youth team that has recently crossed Greenland (a couple of times) with Snowkites, and now setting their sites on different terrain.

While 2 of the team are very accomplished kiters, one has gained experience only on snow expeditions.... and all 3 are relatively or completely new to Kite buggying.

They are posting daily reports on a blog... which are quite interesting, both culturally and for the experiences the crew is having with kiting in a hostile environment (maybe not hostile, but it ain't no Ivanpah).
