Basic scudding techniques?
Hello, I just got my 5.6m Twister on a bar and have been practicing scudding and got some great slides in when I cross the the most powerful part of
the window. So what I am trying to figure out is how to continue a controlled scud or is this even possible?
I love flying this kite and today was my 9th time out with it. What a blast..
I also tried a few jumps today and got hit with a gust while in the air. VERY, VERY SCARRY! :o I thought I had the re direct down off a few basic
hops but not quite there. I got lifted even higher and then got dropped like a bad habit. Any suggestions on a basic jump other than running at a 45
degree angle away from the kite and then pulling out the handle furthest from the kite? I watched it on a youtube video and was trying it with my
2.5m to get the feel of the pull.
Thanks for all of your help guys. You all have been a tremendous help!

The only way to keep the scud going is by repeatedly turning the kite back into the power zone. The more powered the kite is the more responsive it
will be and thus the longer your continuous scuds can be. If the kite is only pulling in the center of the power zone, you can't really do a
continuous scud.
Mucho funo when you can though :bouncy:

Your 5.6 might be too slow in turning to give a "screaming scud". I do my fastest and longest with my 2.5 Bullet in 20-25 winds.
My longest is about 400 feet. I measured on Google maps
I have been trying to do a "360" while being pulled by have not come close to completion yet!- The handle pass is impossible- you have to be backwards
with both handles in one hand and pass to the other hand all while keeping speed up. I know what B-Roc will be trying on his next session!:bouncing:

you can do 360 ...it a "real" back roll because you actually slide/ turn on your back
a little lift on the finish gets the hips and feet back under you
really have to ball up tight really more like a flailing twist
