new one hooked!

Ha! My sister is in town for the weekend, showed her my kite and some videos, and shes off! Totally hooked and only about 10 mins of flying under her belt. So yeah, she said shes goin home to dig up some cash and start her own quiver... That puts me up to 4 people in about 3 or 4 weeks that are diggin up some cash for kites... just from flyin mine for a single session!

these things are as bad as drugs haha!!:singing:

if we have a light breeze (like we have been) i let em take a go... one of my friends got a good scud, but this isnt really a good beginner kite so im really cautious about handing over the controls. If the wind is enough to scud i usually dont let em fly, but just flying a big kite is so foreign to them that just controling it is enough to get them. Just enough wind to get the kite in the air is all i need to get em going!

If the wind starts to pick up, its a good time for them to try out the kite killers, or the brakes, and see if they can land it...baby winds are noobs friends, and mine too, i dont like seeing my kites crash!

I don't blame you on the crashing, my heart breaks a lil every time mine hits the ground. I haven't handed the handles to anyone that hasn't flown before...I am thinking about buying a 3m hornet to keep in the bag for anyone that wants to try it though. Recruit em all I say! Lol

ive been recruiting heavily as well.....i cant say they all go into power kiting,as some prefer stunters or single lines, but there are alot of people that now kite that didnt before---and im not trying to recruit them, just here to have some fun--i think when people see you laughing your butt off, they come over to investigate--i show them what im doing, and they are HOOKED--much worse than any drug ive ever seen lol

eh once i get a buggy or some wheels, i wont be around to babysit my kites with newbies, so my recruiting will drop sharply lol. It works out tho, the workout is too much for most of my friends and family so i fly for like 30mins, they fly 5... haha

You guys and your friggin avatars are going to give me a seizure. :megan: They are annoying as hell too. How about a nice static image of your beloved twister or something.

The grumpy old man will now leave the room.

ROFL KiteNH! I'd use a static image of my beloved nylon baby, but frankly the Twister II is ugly :P

Drew, I'd head that way with wallwalker if I could so we could put 4 Twisters in the sky
