Why is this kite not recomended for buggy-ing?
I may be way off, but if you can atb board and such, wouldnt a buggy fit in?

Maybe too much lift for a buggy?

If you are referring to the HQ's little suitability charts on their web-site and in their catalogs, it's just an example of the European prejudice to handles for buggy. It's kind of a back handed way of them saying other kites may be more suitable and that it's not the primarily intended application for the kite. The say the same thing about the Montana.

My Neo 11m is a great buggy engine from about 6 mph up to 18-20, where I start to run out of de-power and get that creepy draft under my butt as in wants to pull me up and out.

It's so stable I can park and ride, steering with fingertips every other moment or so.

I was looking all over the web for info on them and ran accross the same info on several sites

and yeah... that chart on HQ's site doesnt list a buggy 'bar'

Just curious why they would label it as such... in your response to my depower thread, Angus, you mentioned it as a buggy engine, so just sorting things out in my head, and killing time at work... slow... rainy....

I can attest that the Montana is brilliant in the buggy. Just don't be foolish and send the kite to zenith real fast at speed and everything is fine. I've buggied very little with the NEO but in my short runs with it, I got along fine. I've seen Angus put miles behind him with his NEO and he looks very relaxed with a big smile on his face. Maybe HQ should put one of those bars in for the buggy too.

I have never used a neo but typically the ratings are based on how much lift is produced. Really lifty kites are often not recommended for bugging. If you also not there is not manufacturer I know of that says buggy jumping is recommended either. I have used a flysurfer and a best in the buggy you just have to be careful with tossing the kite around or you are in the air and the buggy is off on its own someplace!

Hours of time with the 8m NEO and the buggy. VERY fast with little lift. Transitions are quick as well. Turning speed for sining in lighter winds is excellent and then park and ride in 15kts.
Don't understand why it would be good for a landboard and skiis but not a buggy.

The NEO does work great with a buggy (especially the 8m). Played with it a bit at NABX this year.

I'll do my part to change the literature next year.

Well, in fact Chris it was you who pointed this out to me last year shortly after you joined HQ.

I recall at NABX you did better with the 8m Neo in lighter air than I did with my 11m. Seems you were able to keep it moving faster more consistently.

The weather needs to turn around here so i can get off the forum, and stop thinking about kites:shocked2:
i could kill for a big quiver right now lol, i kinda want one of these down the road
