How to Demo Flysurfer ?

I am still trying to believe that a newer Flysurfer can be so much better than my Pulse is that it now sells for under $400 RTF :wow:

I have NEVER flown a Flysurfer that I haven't had to " buy to try".

I have wanted to fly the Outlaw next to the AlaSca for a long time but it isn't happening.

Anyone want to pass their Outlaw ?
Do a temp. swap with my Pulse ?

How does Flysurfer go about Demos ?

I think you just have to be lucky and live in the right geographical area or go to some of the bigger events. I happen to share my local beach with Ted B (US importer) so I fall into the lucky category. Funny though, I never test rode any of my kites before buying them. I'll be banging down his door though when the Speed 3 is released...really want to try out the 12.

clint do you find it difficult to get ahold of ted even when he lives in your town?

he seems like he vanishes off the face of the earth from time to time.

You are right on with the " lucky " bit.

I know I'm lucky to have the folks that do have Demo kites in town. You can't have it all. I'm happy with what we have !

It's just a shame you have to " buy before you fly " when it comes to Flysurfer around here. I'm sure our kitesurf shop Airtime would bring one in if I was a serious buyer but the truth is I just want / need to see what makes Pulse II and Outlaws worth so much more than the Pulse ?

i dont think under 400 is an accurate appraisal. mine had a repair, and the economy is weak for some, so i let it go for less than it is worth. but it will finance a new kite where there is a large gap in the quiver. i do, however, think that its real value is somewhere around 500... maybe 550

WHAT I FLY:
Flysurfer Soul v2 12m, Soul 15m, Soul v2 21m

Flexi Rage 1.8m, Jojo RM 3m, Flexi Blurr 3.5, Flexi Blade 4.0m, Flexi Blade 4.9m, Flexi Blurr 5, Jojo RM 6m

WHAT I RIDE:
Kite Skates, Libre Full Race, GI Conflict 106, OR Mako 140, Spleene Door 159

What I Am In The Market For: Peter Lynn Vapors, Weatherproof Kite Buggy Bag for Libre, PL or Flexi Small Buggy to Tow With, Flexi Pro Link Handles, Flexi Lines, Flexi Kite Killers

He can definitely be hard to get a hold of. It's easier to just run into him on the beach than it is to call him. A busy guy he is.

You are right John.

We have to make an effort to get down there.

The Boarder is a real ...... boarder to many of us ! Even those of us who have passports think twice about crossing on a day trip.

Of course you are always welcome to join us up here as well ! :wee:

you can call me or email when you're coming down if you'd like, that would be great to get a heads-up.

as of June you'll need a passport to enter the US

i rarely come up to kite with you guys because there seems to be better wind down here so why leave b'ham wind to chase it up north... and squamish is out of the question.... i can't bring myself to pay to kite.... and pay for a croud.... not into that.

demo's can be either for land or water... whatever you want. but i do need to be there .

The only time I know for sure I'll be over the boarder this summer is for SOBB in the begining of Sept.

I have flown the F.S. kites there the last few years. You should come down this year and join us ! Flysurfer gets good attention there!
