A bunch of us did this at NABX this past year. Winds were about 40 and we reached speeds, if I remember correctly, of about 25 using just our
jackets. We went all the way down the lakebed; then had to get back. Used a towline, but we learned something; don't use spectra as the towline. A
tad slippery. And if you have a full face helmet, use it. We got sandblasted. Ears *full* of playa dust...
