South Padre winds
Winds at South Padre in the Fall are generally south or south easterly. Good for windsurfing and kiteboarding but not perfect for buggying. Our beach
runs north and south so easterly winds are the best for the buggy. We have more easterly winds in the summer til early oct. and winter til mid March.
We buggy on the beach and flats at the north end of town. For kiteboarding we have the north flats, outlaw flats and the kite ranch. Keep an eye on
the tide tables as the flats tend to flood if the tide is very high. Come enjoy our wind, sand and water! Lodging can be very inexpensive during the
fall, winter and spring if there is no special event on the island. Condos for rent are available on many websites.
