Heads Up guys- Sorry i cant make it this weekend , but just got off the phone with my brother in Va beach, and wanted to share a little info from a
local kite surfer- Wind should be really good for downwinders since it is suppossed to be blowing NE- also he asked that i mention the Kitesurfer
ettiqette down there- The majority of the kitesurfers restrict their kiting to between 42nd stree and fort story. reason for this is it takes you
away from the "tourist" area and you will have significantly less pedestrians to deal with. He asked that all of you observe this, because they have
had some issues with other out of town kiters not knowing this and would hate to loss their access- please consider riding and staying north of 42nd
street.
Scott
PS -for ragden-he mentioned swells today are8-10 ft some of the biggest he has seen in VA beach nd he was out yesterday in full wetsuit and booties.
Now that I hear that Sunnie is making bulgogie, I seem to be getting rather sick and wight not be able to make it to work on Sunday! It would be worth
the trip just for that!
Lad... if yer in DC friday night... I might be able to give you a ride... Let me know.
edit: Not bringing my water stuff. Wife begged me not to. So... it wont be coming. North of 42nd street? That limits the beach by quite a bit..
Bummer. Well, at least we have somewhere to ride, better than nothing.
A little difficulty with the Econo Lodge, manager has over ruled Erika and now the price is $69 taxes included for two people. Still not too bad @35
per person, just tell them your with the team riders to get the deal. Sorry.

This wknd was AWESOME! I now have a fly spot again, thanks to Todd for securing this spot. The kitesurfers seem like we will be ok w/ them.We got
lots of vid too,so ya know there will be a movie soon. Thanks to Rian,Mike,Brad,Nick, and Lad for comin' down to hang with the VA crew. And a VERY
SPECIAL thanks to Sunni for making Bul-gogi. That is the best!Mmmmmmm Mmmmmmm! Now I know how to make it. What can I say,PKF rocks!
Glad you guys had a stellar time! So wish I could have been there! I thought about being down there with you guys all day while I was pounding
pavement!
YES! The very first VABBB and oh it was a good one. Thank you everyone for attending what is to become the next best event to the WBB. The beach will
deliver as soon as the pipe is removed and the downwind run today from north to south was a blast. I will begin to make contacts and lodging soon to
set some things up. As of now it's time to heal for the next couple of months. 19m+gust will never do good on the ribs.
Had a good time Saturday. We got up thinking we were gonna rock, checked the beach and then we weren't sure we would be able to ride at all. Lucked
out that we found some good spots to ride. Wind was pretty ballistic, but we had good times. The cookout afterwards (saturday night) made the trip all
worthwhile.
