....and if Jason can't find it I've got several extra. A nice little short leash comes with each Ozone Access, Frenzy, and Summit. I've got one each attached to my seat and stand harnesses and still have two extra so I'd be happy to send you one if Jason doesn't find his.

Many many thanks guys,... Steve, it looks like Jason has me covered, so gracias!

Like I said above, I got some iPhone footage of the first flight from Tuesday, but it's not great... Best part is the butt scuds... We don't need no freeking buggies!... Will do my best to post it ASAP.

I think that is pretty standard for a depow, yes?

Well...not quite. It's a Peak "thing" I guess. I wouldn't understand they say.;)

Nevermind, enjoy your nice, new, crispy kite! :D

Second Peak session today (static) and really appreciating the beauty and awesomeness of the Peak... I really got a kick out of the easy launch. Puff of wind plus a step backwards with NO hands on the bar and it pops up like a scared bird.... I seriously can't wait to try it in the buggy seat... Maybe finally make some doom wheels :o (nah... Wifey would hate that).

Also tested how the safety worked since I have the leash now (thanks Jason) ... I realized I needed to do the Donkey "appendage" differently than how I was last time... Goo lesson to learn on a test rather than while in a situation.

Good stuff Spencer, good stuff. Wheels of Doom? Outstanding! I've had three 6m Peak sessions with wheels of doom this week and can seriously vouch for how much fun that combo is. Don't fight fate!

Absolutely awesome session on the 6m P1 today... Winds floated in the 10-14 mph with some extended lulls. It took a little figuring out, but wow great stuff for sure... So how long 'til JIBE??? ....

Unfortunately thought the Donkey Schlong broke... It looked like the elastic band got frayed and gave out today... Looks easy to fix, but I might use the little safety line clip from my NASA Stars and a carabeener instead... I didn't care for the donkey part... Dad gum thing kept poking me in the leg... Stupid donkey

Glad you had a good maiden voyage in the bug with the Peak! Those winds speeds probably had you begging for a tad more sail (sounds more like ideal 9m Peak wind by your description) but I bet you could get things going well enough. Too bad to hear about the donkey stick failing. Absolutely nothing magical about using a donkey attached to the chicken loop. Memory serves you have a little donkey positioned below your hook that you use for you STARS and that should work just fine I'd think. I had one too when I was getting pulled around by NS3s but I removed it from my harness because my kites (FS and Ozone) all have one built into their loops.

Go get 'em!

Sounds great Spencer. The 6m is by far my favorite size of the P1's. You can really sling it around. The most fun kite I've ever owned for buggy in our type of conditions.

get all the sessions you can before returning to jibe so you can really tear it up. I find the more I become one with the peaks, the more they deliver up.

I have no idea really, it seems like it got that way before either you or I had it probably... unless you are making some kind of unfortunate innuendo :o

Like I said, I probably won't bother to fix it,... I'll probably do something else with a carabiner.

It is a depower thing. You have to keep in mind what is happening at the kite end of the lines when you let the bar out. You are giving slack to the back lines, and depowers use ONLY the back lines to steer. I don't think there are any depowers in the world that turn as well with the bar out as they do with the bar in.

I have an easy fix involving the clip in for the Nasa Star 3rd line and a Carabiner... super simple. If it was frayed at all, it would not have been visible.
