good topic ...
My PB
Buggy : I think it was about 46mph
Snowboard : 32 mph
Skis : 38mph
Kiteboarding jump : 45'
My adventure in a buggy started in 2011 with KiteTrike that got me to about 25mph and that was it until I got propper buggy , MG Supra got me to 45
about 2 years ago and last WBB i beat that with ~46.
I was always trying to get that healthy competition with Reach and it was always few miles difference between us but this year gap got big with Rich
getting 53mph... so .... my goal is .... 54mph lol
I think stable buggy makes big difference when going for speed . When looking at kites I think you can achieve big speed numbers with whatever you
got . LEI are good in gusty conditions and I think make attempts feel safer than any other kites. Race kites get you there faster but make experience
more extreme .
Now when I am hitting speeds above 40pmh I am thinking more and more about safety. I started using my dirt bike helmet and planning to get more
protection for fututre speed runs .

Well I guess I am the slow guy- personal best at wildwood was only 42.5 mph...on my Mtn board and 36.5 at Jekyll island on my mtn board. as for in
the buggy not really sure but had a reading of 48mph on the gps riding at my local field so not convinced it was accurate since the field is only ~3
football fields long and think that might have been more from the gforces as I was sliding through the turns which were in a gravel parking lot with
30+ feet slides -woohoo. As for big jumps 40+ feet but the landing was not very clean:D and I still feel it most days.

PB in the Buggy: 41.7mph This happened early in my buggy life. I was still new had no idea what I was doing. Yet decided it was a good idea to go out
buggyin in a storm. It turned out to be one of the fastest and only onshore wind sessions i have ever had. I still had my Libre Vmax Buggy and I was
flying a 10m PL Venom. Ripping down the beach with one hand on the bar and the other hand holding onto the buggy haha. I did several runs. According
to gps I covered 21.3 miles with a top speed of 41.7mph. Since getting the mg my PB is 39.4mph

Fla Scott, yes I think I was there after reminiscing.
VA Scott, nothing like watching you pass buggies on your board, I will never forget the phone cal I got from you when you got lofted either. You're a
lucky dude for sure.
Konrad, it is always a blast on a windy day when we get together and compare speeds and bust each other's nuts one way or the other. Great times
indeed and looking forward to the next go around
Blitz I wish I had gotten that good of a start lol. That MG will give you plenty of confidence when the wind comes on strong and you feel it's time to
go for it again.

Hi Guys... I've been off-line for a while and feel a need to catch up.
Although 59.3 km/h (36.8 mph) is my top recorded speed, I don't consider that my best. To this day, I don't know how I stopped before the copse of
trees that I was headed towards. I'd like to hit 64.4 (40 mph), but it's not a priority for me.
My best is when I can spend time at the beach with friends and buggy for days feeling calm and relaxed - I'd say in control, but we all know better.
Several days in a row without incident is my best. That's what it's about for me; I'll leave the top speeds to those with better medical insurance
than mine :-)
Go ahead... tell me to "go fly a kite!" Please!

Hi guys. It feels like this PB thing keeps inching up. Currently got in my head that I NEED to get up to 40 mph. About 3 months ago hit 29.8mph on the
wide axle flexi. Somehow that did not even feel that fast until I tried to replicate it, and then it felt like everything was about to fall apart.
Three weeks ago was happy to break that record with the Supra hitting 30.3 mph with winds in the mid teens.
Yesterday got over that too getting to 32.9 mph. Very gusty wind and not from the best direction but I think I could have squeezed a little more if I
had not lost my nerve.

Howard, I've seen you progress so much through the last couple years, it's been a pleasure to see that smiling face every time you have a great
session, and yes the smile is bigger when you get your speed on! Keep doing what you are doing my friend. Hope to see you soon!
GLX, can't wait to see you on the big beach with that beast. The comfort level will soar soon and your ability and confidence will go up a reasonable
amount. Soon, 40moh won't seem like anything. See you soon! Congrats on the new PB

Hi 41.0 mph on Ivanpah on Tuesday. Man, that felt fast!!! It came with a 5.5m Born-Kite LongStar2 and some wind that I suspect was in the low 20s or
there abouts. I have HUGE respect for anybody getting over 50 mph. The fact that my good friend Tami (utahtami) his 56.8 mph a few years ago is just
the stuff of the Pantheon.

Thanks Rich. I am leaving Mass at 630 am on Thursday so hopefully I am there by 1PM.
Today was another awesome day. Had a few good runs getting in the thirties, and then bam 38.5.
Stopped, took a breather to calm down and change my shorts and jumped in the buggy again.
A couple of runs after hit 39.9mph. So close, but ran out of beach and I am glad that I started slowing down when I did because would had careened
into rocks if I had pushed the envelope further. Man, that sand comes at you quick once you get above the low thirties.

I have never carried a GPS on me when I buggy, but the best I can claim is pacing with Mark on Jekyll Island floating between 45-50mph under my 12m
Charger 2. I tried to use my cellphone gps to track a few rides on my local beach in Chicago before it started flooding, and I only topped out around
37mph there because of how bumpy the beach is. Literally had to keep one hand between my legs hanging onto the down tube to keep the seat under my
ass.

Ok what the heck. Met Beamer in a restaurant after an online contact. Told me all about IBX. Never had been in a buggy. Screw loose was nice
enough to loan me his very fast ride for my first time. Two days later hit 42Mph by my phones GPS 7m Waroo winds upper twenty-five. Year two no other
occasions to ride. Morrie was nice enough to loan me a PL comp. But winds didn't favor last year and the ride did not inspire confidence. Year 3
still no other occasion to buggy. Found a PL big foot locally it's first ride, IBX 2018 ye ha. Thanks to Dirk and Sean my competitive juices were
flowing. But I don't know about the rest of you but a big foot with full sand tires was never meant to go over 30ish so what the heck phone said 44,
9m Best Nemesis low 20s wind. Thought the tires were going to explode. But as some one else in this thread said an LEI gives you a great feeling of
control. I had more go juice but I wasn't sure the buggy did.:D. Now my home turf is snow and speed is not my main goal but I did hit 27 with Utah
Tami at my kite lake SB 15m Turbine 15+ winds. My phone isn't WP so no guess but probably no more than 20MPH 6 mile lake Mojave this Feb. My 11m PL

51.4mph is my best set about 10 years ago.
Since then I have been racing and not had a GPS on or conditions haven't quite been right.
Who knows maybe at this years SOBB I can get a few speed runs in and see if I can break it.
My buggying at the moment consists of just getting out there and playing around and enjoying myself.

Wow some you have gone fast in a buggy. I've never actually measured my top speed in the buggy but I can't imagine it being much more than 20mph. I
can't seem to get the pull I need without the rearend kicking out and scrubbing off all my speed. On the land boarding though my PB is 33mph with my
13m venom measured with a gps app on my phone. This winter I definitely want to try out some skis on glare ice and see how fast I can really go. :D

Great company and awesome day at Nahant yesterday. To boot it got to set a new PB at 44.7 mph even though was not trying to because there were other
