i'd guess that if you had enough wind to get an 8m fb kite up and do loops, your idea of "static" would be challenged.
i had a 7m bullet up in pretty low wind, and there was no way in the world i was going to be standing still when it hit any part of the power zone.
it DID make for a great workout, though.
i'm just shy of 10 stone.
a large flexifoil blade on a low angle bridle setting would probably be good for what you seek, but maybe not on such long lines. i can handle a 4.9 blade on light settings, but the normal and grunt settings run me all over the place.

totally agree about the workout factor tomdiving, same when i static fly my 6m on the beach.

Noticed the comment about permit and insurance. Is that a requirement for kite traction in most places? Or was it a joke?

Where I fly and kite buggy a permit and insurance is necessary for traction activities,I dont know about other places.
