In really nuclear winds, if for dome crazy reason I decide to put down the wing, I've been known to fly foils on 15 ft. linesets or just straight off
the bridals.
If you think it\'s hard explaining HOW something works, try explaining WHY it doesn\'t work.

when you register at NABX's website, you can view the attendees list.
you're welcome to a sit in my ApeXX (fullrace) if you want.
dunno if we're bringing a tandem kit right now, as weight seems to be our biggest issue with US Airways. They seem to have the worst weight/dimension
allowance. Ruudje from XXtreme is trying to make his way from Euro to NABX. He might bring a tandem kit for me. Look us up down there, (U-Turn
Banners)
As for line length .... short lines on either big or small kite.

68-69!! 72-73!! Are you crazy?? I wet myself at 20-30 I guess I will be needing some depends for the playa. I think 60mph will be a record for a rockville if it dosen't vibrate apart. I can't wait. I will be in for a
treat. I have only been buggying for a few months so I am still learning the basics. You know hanging on and how to turn. Big stuff like that
still.

record)

thought it was 78 ,ah, whats a few mph after ya hit 70 anyway .with this freak weather we get sometimes .Eli & luk might break that 100 mph.he'd
have to put more than six pounds of weight, hey, does anyone remember the buggy that came into camp and ripped that guys truck down the side like a
sardine can.that had weight and I almost went grabbing it ,then found out ,you could loose ya arm.Eli ,I got clocked once by my buggy ,I don't know
"HOW" you do it !

Terry,
Are you talking about the time that Bob Childs lost his buggy in an enduro race? This is the first I heard that it had added weight!
I was helping with the race that year and watched it happen.

Gotta laugh when I hear the stories from that day. Actually Luk had given up trying to beat Eli's 68.9 he was only getting was 68.1, He decided to
come back to camp and hit 72.3 on his way back. He had all he could do to stop before camp.
I took a few runs that day should of took the GPS on one of them. Got caught in a big gust that took out PL and JH. I was flying a 2meter and just
went with it. Probably the fastest I had ever gone.

kite on long lines gives you more reaction time and the kite stays in the ww.
Short lines= crazy kite, if you go too short. 15m or on handles, you loose much performance and you can't see out of your buggy.
Last year (2007) I used 25m on a 3m Yakuza got around 65mph without even trying. The issue was slowing down with long lines, the kite seemed to power
up, so much I saw the bushes coming and ditched. whooo hooo., fun fun.... My FAVORITE line lenght is 25m for the desert, If I hit up roads in the
middle of no-where I go to 20m.
we made some 40-50ft sets, and the kites became psyco. Fun to test thy skillz, not fun too cruise.
Luk and i were pulling tandems, I rec. 30m sets for this, Luk on a 25 m set got slammed while towing, I could barely hang on, but we were pulling
passengers to 55mph or higher. Luk was accelerating much quicker with the 25m sets, I think thats why he had out-o-buggy experience.

Always forgetting the big guy that was 1mph behind you and loaned you the GPS LMAO. Big John
Hey Bison if memory serves me correctly Luk set that speed on the way out bro as he rode back in a vehicle and we have been giving him S*** about that
every since.
And finally a big Thank you to Dave Dickerson you gave me some great advise on the Avalanche I sent my ABS module in to modulemaster and they fixed it
for next to nothing so I owe you a Beer for the advice next time I see you.

Aw... I liked my version better.
My best gps verified speed is only 46mph, though I know I've been faster. I swear at those speeds the only thing holding you on the ground is the
vacuum formed by yer butt puckering up. :singing:
