Thanks doomwheels! I've had my kite out 3 or 4 times and I always spend a disproportionate amount of time untangling when I should be flying. I was at my wits end today and a relaxing kite fly turned into a hateful and stressful experience. I tell you, I was ready to kick a passing dog in the face! (I would never do this, but I was intensely frustrated). I was also swearing like a drunken navi. Shameful!

Anyway, I will try your suggestion for winding and unwinding, ditch the butterfly thing (which is just annoying), and hopefully I will be up and flying in no time.
