@Frathouse-How long did it take to learn how to self rescue/body drag before you could get out riding?

Hey Power,

Body dragging and getting use to the water was not difficult spend 2-3hours on it. Water starts were difficult and I'm still working on it.

Looks like I'll find out what it's all about in a couple of days!

Was just checking the forecast, and this weekend might be a good time to head to wildwood. I'm seeing decent SE winds on Sunday. Anyone else seeing the same thing and thinking about heading out?

I didn't look, but wouldn't be at all adverse.

I was looking at that too... looks like almost a plan. I'm just wondering if that storm front is going to push into Sunday as well.

Yeah, that could be a problem. I was wondering that myself. Lets keep our eyes on it and see what happens.

I have some friends trying to convince me to hit the water this weekend, rather than buggy... I'm not sure, yet, what I will be doing... but I'll definitely post whatever it is...

While I'm thinking of it Ragden, I met an engineer that just moved down here over the past month and he's big into kite boarding. Sweet! Corey and I have an instructor!! I sent him a link here to get him to post up.

I'm planning on hitting Dewey/Delaware Seashore State Park on Saturday, but I might be up for Wildwood on Sunday as well.

Need some recommendations for a kite to pickup, used, so I can join you guys out on the water. Can only afford one right now, had to purchase a new car this weekend so my kite money is out the window for a few months…so don’t say a S3, that would be too cruel as I was saving up for one, but had to dump the money into the car.

Took my kites out of the old car and forgot to put them in the new car. Was going to go down to the Mall tonight after work but...

Anyone work down town to meet up sometime after work on the Mall in the next week or two?

I have a Slingshot TD2, 11m that you can use to get started on the water. If you like it after using it a bit, we can discuss price. Otherwise, it can be something for you to learn with... no worries.

Todd and I have been discussing WW this weekend. Both of us were thinking drive up Saturday and back Monday though.

I'm going kiteboarding if the conditions allow. Not sure yet but I'm most likely going to Dewey beach.

As Frat's designated water-safety official, I'll be wherever he ends up deciding to go. Gotta have someone on the water to keep an eye on him.

Winds look great for Wildwood this weekend. I hope you guys have a blast. I definitely couldnt stay until Monday as I have to work that morning (it isnt a holiday is it?), but it does look like you guys are going to get some epic conditions there. I hope you guys have a blast.

Not a holiday. I'm just going to take my "alternate off Friday" on Monday instead of Friday. Assuming that we go.

So who IS going to Wildwood on Sunday?

I don't think I'm going to trust that storm pushing in quickly on Sunday, I could be wrong and miss an epic day.

Well, I think i'm gonna go ahead and book a reservation for the Ferry and take my chances. Forecast is looking pretty good. Starting to look like I might be out there solo though.
