Thanks for the offer but between google maps and my GPS I'm good. Besides, I think I've already done the drive in my head. It's no line; Whitby is about two hours from Niagara Falls, then it's an eight-hour run SE to the beach.

You've got it right but I have no doubt that it'll be worth the treck. I've met a few kiters in my own neighbourhood, but they're few and far between.

Off topic (kinda): last February I took off to Vegas specifically to be in the wind (without family) for a couple of days. Had the pleasure of meeting Kent and I learned more in a few hours than in the rest of my kite-life (bought my first framed delta in 1989). Later met up with Kent, Brian and a couple of other local fliers and had a blast (and learned more)! Can't thank them enough. (Only downfall from that trip was the rain on my first day there that kept us away from the playa.)

TICKETS ARE BOOKED WHOOOP WHOOOOP! Thanks to van and the east coast crew for hooking it up.

Van, Chad, Scott, Danny, Rich....I know you guys pulled all the strings to get me out there, and i'm so happy. Epic riding coming your way!

There very well may be others from Ont. coming to the bash. Carpooling may be a good option for you, especially since you don't have a lot of gear yet and wont take much room.

I would u2u markite and see if he knows if any of the local are coming to the bash.

If the wind is right there will be some tandem trailers there and w/ any luck Kiteguru will be there giving rides! I'm bringing all my wind toys!

For WW I'm still trying to co-ordiate a fall trip to Scotland - if it doesn't conflict then I might be making the trip with 3 others from this part of Ontario

Anyone have RC paraglider so we can attach GoPro and make video from above ?????......
