@Windstuck:
I never tried the racestar, but I saw it the day before the race at the beach. It seems to be better than other single skin depower kites, but its not
fast enought for races. I heard that the reason is that it stops if you depower it. But its the first generation, maybe the next can compete? I think
its an interesting concept for a good price!
We dont have our own beerbottles Club Colombia is a real colombian beer, but it
tastes bad. I prefer Aguila
I am no fast rider, but look at the orange Vapor in front of me in the video. It drifts to the left and I can overtake him inside without drifting,
because I could depower the kite (2:04min).
@slapbasswoody:
You have been at LH?
Yes, the depowerkites are better upwind and downwind and the maneuvers are easier to handle.
Cool that you use ChronoV2, too
That is accurate! It is one of the things I like about Born-Kite DPs. I understand how that would not be desirable for maxing out speed while
working the kite, but as a casual (read wimpy) pilot I prize these kites ability to DP like that. Great safety valve when you want to seriously take
your foot off the gas pedal!
Too funny about the beer! Too bad it tastes bad. :barf:
Thank Juan! I expect your team to do no less than 1st place next year, now that you've worked the bugs out
Sounds absolutely grueling. I'll show up with my land board next year, so I guess you should expect 2nd place! :D
As always Juan, great video. But where are all the tourists and beachgoers...?
Is that not a beach for swimming/sunbathing....? We could never get out like that in July...

Its no typical beach for swimming (the water is too far away from the dune) and its not a typical region for tourists. Most of the tourists are buggy
pilots:D
At the dutch beaches, we have the same problem as you...
Thank you, guys!
Yes, the Rinuswheels are fantastic, but bigfoots were the better choice for conditions like last week. The beach wasnt flat and too soft for the
wheels.
I prefer using them on wet beach, grass or asphalt.
But I had no choice because I left my bigfoots at home.
