I had no idea this was even going on. That's what happens when you are out of something for awhile, but glad to see so many are into this.

Hoping for east wind!

I will be there Thursday PM, looking for a room mate, will be there till Monday, weather depending of course...See you there!

What winds should we be expecting for the bash?

I know winds are usually unpredictable, but from past experiences(From previous years WBBs) what kites are people usually flying? both for Kiteboarding and Buggying.
Also, I saw it looks like tides will not be perfect this year. Should I be looking at getting BF tires for the buggy? I know that will require a Wide front fork and axle as well.

martinipro as for the winds, yes unpredictable, but usually from the NW during the fall bash, ranging from 5mph to 25mph. I would be prepared for almost anything. Hard to nail down what everyone is flying due to the wide range of experience on the beach. Some will be flying 3m kites in the same winds others would fly 5m in. Some fly 10m depower where others would be flying 15m depower kites. Best to be prepared.

As far as bigfoots, yes would be helpful. The beach has a tendency to have a decent amount of hardpack for buggying about 2 hours or so on either side of the tide. If the tide is all the way up, the bigfoots will enable you to get a lot more time in the buggy for sure.

Turns out my steady kite bro Pokite won't be able to make it to the Bash. Sooooo, being the last minute guy that I am, I gotta ask, does anybody at the Shalimar need a roomate?

If not, I'll be getting a room and looking for a roomate myself! Shoot me a u2u if interested. I'll be there Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Not sure yet tho if I'll stay over on Saturday night.
