Oops, sorry about that folks. The bash has been outstanding. I arrived Wed, 6 of us pretty much had the beach to ourselves for straight on 12-15 mph
winds. Complete end to end runs till the rains came. Lots more showed up Thursday for some great action with winds coming straight down the beach at
25+ all day. Some guys logged close to thirty miles 1/4 mile at a time. Friday was blowing almost straight off with a little side thrown in to make
it interesting. Winds were still in the 20 mph range most of the day then backing off a little bit towards the end of the day. Today was only
forecast to be in the 10 mph range but was better than expected. Topped off by a great night of BBQ, and raffle. The hanging out at night is
sometimes the best part for me. Sitting and talking kite stuff with kite people is a great thing. The stories are always the best. Another great bash
almost in the books and everyone looking to start planning to attend the next bash.
One of the highlights were the French Canadians that made the trek down. What a great group of guys. The best entertainment at night time even if you
don't know French. Not to mention they are all fast in there buggies.
About 230 today we had a little tribute to A.J. A big group of us stood at the waters edge and static flew while the tribute kite that Glen made was
released.( don't worry, earth friendly) . Pretty emotional moment as it flew till it was out of site.
By far the best WBB yet.
I am sure many post to come by those who attended.

Thanks for the update - very nice memorial for AJ
You should ask Claude about some of the buggy games they play. They do timed obstacle course at St Honoré that involves placing buckets around a
course and having a bunch of tennis balls and racing around depositing the balls as you try and pass by as close and fast as possible. Claude also
does all the DJ work and kite talk at most of the Québec events. Good group that know how to enjoy themselves and I know there was a lot of buzz on
the French forum leading up to WW and they were all petty stoked to go.

Bear, the helmet went to a great home, thanks for making this deal affordable to give it away at a great event. One of the young kids from the Power
kite club at the local high school we helped get started and sponsor won it, it could not have been a better fit!
I am sure there will be plenty of great pics and video to come!

Just got home. AWESOME!!! :D What a bash! I'm exhausted.... and I wish I was still there... ,some folks are still there (lucky bas#$%s).
Claude is a great guy, and so are the rest of the french Canadians he brought with him.I couldn't understand anything they said ,but some things are
universal . I deffo could PARTY w/ those guys, but ya better not pass out.
I finally got to meet Dino, WAY cool Bro' he is. I have talked to Dino on PKF for yrs., I kind of already felt like we were already friends, even
though we never met face to face .It was nice to meet some of the newer members as well. Thanks to everyone who came and participated, or even hung
out and watched or just took pics. ( You know how kiters like pics) Joecat aka LBJ brought the WCHS club out on Sat., it was awesome to see the next
generation in kiting ,out there. Without them we don't have a future as a sport.(nice story about the username Joe,and yes, you are an LBJ :lol
I'm so tired, I can't hardly think , I'll post more later

Wife came down to the beach on Saturday and took a few pictures. Posted below:
https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/sredir?uname=michael.d.march...
This was, by far, the best bash I've been at yet. Logged over 72 miles on Friday, and nearly 60 on Saturday. Sunday was a bust, but that meant a nice
drive home. I'm gonna be sore for awhile...
Thanks to everyone who came out. It was great fun. See ya next time.

Just wanted to say hi and thanks for welcoming me to the sport.
I was *encouraged* to join the forum, so here I am.
It's too bad I was only there on Sunday, but I had a good time anyway. I'm looking forward to next time.
