Maybe I'll see it today or tomorrow. I have a baseball tournament with my 8 year old and have some downtime midday Saturday.

I've just had my stitches in my back taken out and Dr says I can resume 'normal activities with no physical restrictions' - I didn't go into details and find out if being dragged across a field with a kite was considered normal, probably not, but anyway I'm in good shape and ready to start buggying again (btw - I had a tiny mole on my back that turned out to be melanoma... had a large area of my back removed as a precaution and 4 lymph nodes under my arm removed, but luckily there wasn't any cancer cells found anywhere other than the piece they removed, so I'm all clear. Morale of the story - wear plenty of suncreen when you're out there kite flying people!)

Hey - Pablo... add me to the Combat list... I'd love to give that a go (but first I'm out this weekend to do some gentle 'getting dragged across a field' to get back in the swing of things ;)

Sure thing, I'll make a formal announcement after the Brooza is done making the rounds.

Hope things go well as you get back into kiting.

Archkiter,
SThrasher38
BeamerBob
Gilligan
Baluk
Prarie Wind
?????

So, as far as I know the Brooza is still with Beamer Bob, should probably get this thing moving along, Once it's finished in the states if someone is after the 5.5m, make me an offer, I can sent a Brooza II for the rest. but I'd like to get this wrapped up in the next while. Combats are finally cleared customs, so I'd like to get one of those making the tour.

Turns out it's a bad idea to have Combat and Toys on a package heading into the country from overseas.

I still have the Brooza. I've only had one good wind day since I got it. I will fly it this weekend at the beach and send it on it's way on Monday. I can either send it home or to it's new owner. The Ace will go out then too to SThrasher. I appreciate the chance to get to fly these kites. My eyes were really opened by the Ace. I look forward to getting the forecast 13 mph beach winds on Sunday to fly the Ace one more time and put some time in with the Brooza.:D

So where should I send this Brooza to? I have an address for Thrasher to send the Ace. I was at the end of the list so I can send it home or I thought someone wanted to buy it and it was supposed to go there. Just let me know.

I think he was wanting to get it where it was going before loaning out some of the combats. I'm awaiting instructions though. It can go in the mail tomorrow to somewhere.

Archkiter,
SThrasher38
BeamerBob
Gilligan
Baluk
Prarie Wind

That was the list to date, but I thing Baluk and Prarie will probably get a Brooza II eventually if someone's after the Brooza I 5.5m, gotta get the Combat out while the fall winds are blowing.

Well, Gilligan wanted a go, so if he's still kicking around it should go to him, then Deadhead. so unless Gilligan says something soon, may as well send it to Deadhead and get the US wrapped up.

When I was refolding it to send it out, I noticed one bridle that looked a little worn. I didn't have good light but it just looked a little fuzzy. I tugged on it and it held but it might need looking at. I couldn't tell you where it was because it was a section of bridle hanging out of the folded kite. I was tucking it in when I noticed. Awesome kite to fly. I might still have to get one, especially with those new sewn bridle lines. They might actually be usable now. Thanks again for the spin with her.:singing:

Fuzzy bridles? Not good! I will look at it closely before I even try to fly. I Am not a repair man so if I dont think it is safe to hold my 220lb.A#% I'll send it home. Man Bob did you have to tear it all up before I could get a chance to try? Just kidding:D I will be happy just to check it out to put my to cents in about the Ace. Thanks again everyone.

They were supposed to send me an email with tracking info I didn't get. I sent it in at the end of the day Wednesday so it may not have hit the streets till Thursday pickup.

I didn't crash into my car with it or anything. :D

It picked me up more than 6 feet without me really knowing how to jump. I'm 235 right now and the bridle was probably like that when I got it since I was just flying in a grassy field and then for a few minutes at the beach. So if it held me ok it is probably ok for anyone. I was packing in low light in my garage so it could be that I didn't see what I thought I saw. It could be just the ends of a splice but I wanted to make note of it so nobody got hurt.

about the bridle on the pansh... i already had to replace a brake bridle on my 8m Ace... luckily i had plenty of bridle line around... the replacement is better quality than the original.

the core fibers of the original line weren't even braided, just straight fibers with the sleeving around it. once the sleeving frayed, the whole line was shot... i guess you get what you pay for. either way you still cant beat the price even if you have to make some repairs

Hey, what do you expect, they're a decent flying kite for a decent price. A little maintenance once in a while is a small price to pay. And for the cost of the Pansh you can get a decent quiver for the cost of one high end kite. They'll get the job done for the time being.

What I'd suggest though is that once the kites start wearing out on you, If you love the sport and want to keep flying, you replace them one by one with higher end kites.

I'm assuming the Brooza's still in decent shape? Haven't seen it in a while.

In the end, I never got/took advantage of a chance to fly it. Therefore I didn't even unpack it. Getting it and the Ace at the same time during a period with virtually no wind didn't give me a shot at it. I had one day I could fly the Ace and used one hour to get the lines right and an hour and a half to fly it. I set it up on the beach on 11/4 but didn't fly it because I was keeping my two boys kites in the air and taking a pass with Angus' buggy. The Ace flew for a few minutes before I packed it but that was it. The wind at the beach was so low we were using Angus' 8.3 Peter Lynn Reactor and sometimes I was under powered so I didn't take the precious time to get lines hooked up and adjusted on a 5.5 when an 8.3 was only adequate that day. Maybe another day.
