I'm new to kites and i love the whole stunt kite bit. Just bought a budget fiberglass frame with pol cover. The problem is my string has broken today. The kite was on sale from £13 to just £4 which i found a bargin and it has also got me into kiting.

I'm thinking about buying a power kite and also i need to fix my sting.

I have seen 3M power kites on ebay for cheap. But i also see the more expensive ones on there for 100+. I don't have allot of money due to getting married so which would be the best one to go for? I don't want to surf or what you call it. I just like to fly them

Also were do i get stronger string from?

welcome....there are lots of places on the net to get spectra/dyneema line.....about your future kite purchase--you get what you pay for--a cheap kite will be just that CHEAP and it will fly that way,too.....u can get used kites in the for sale section here-thats where i would look......

You sure do get what you pay for when buying new in this sport.

The REAL bargains are on the second hand kites. With second hand kites you still have to be careful that you are buying a good one. Feel free to ask us about any kite you see, new or used before you buy it.

One of the cheapest ways to get lines + handles is to buy then with a used kite. Often a used " rtf " ( ready to fly ) kite will be less than new lines + handles.

About 3m is the place to start. Don't rush purchasing. That has cost me a lot of money.
