A Blade Killer?

So i got to thinking about this, Peter Lynn Makes a great kite, from entry to depower, and even getting into some nasty pro range kites, like the Vapor. So they have have a great entry level jumper kite, the twister, and thats where they stop.
They have an entry level buggy engine, the viper, and then it goes crazy, as far as buggying, from there, the reactor and the vapor... Even static flyiers have a pro range kite (core, sort of)
What is the possibility of Peter Lynn dropping a pro line jumper? Something to challenge the Blade as "The King." In addition to that, keeping the larger sizes that Flexi keeps dropping with every new gen... A big lifty kite (8-10 m) for those light wind days would be sweet! Something built like a core (super light weight, quick, & extremely well put together) but with lift exeeding that of the twister 2...

Pros, Cons? Possibility?
  :puzzled:

No doubt!

But i was thinking more along the lines of a pro range fixed bridal (or adjustable AoA) kite...
Shoot, i think i could out jump a blade with my phantom, but thats a whole 'nother topic!

I knew what you were thinking I was just giving you a hard time

But check this out is it safe to say your phantom can cover the same wind range as 2 blades ??

My question is why doesn't flexi have a land usable de-power?

Yes and no... it can cover the range of two, but i like FB kites... i fly mostly over my lunch hour, and i can have a FB kite in the air in 2 mins... walk out lines, open kite, go! My phantom comes out when ive got hours, not minutes, to fly

My phantom takes more time: inflating, harness, lines... not much more time but if i spend 15 mins setting up, and putting away my kite, im out half my possible fly time... Plus im really after the bigger sizes that Flexi is dropping... A 10m fb, feather light kite, that floats for days is just my dream kite... flying that core from angus just got me thinking, a kite that well built, with nasty lift and float, with the ease of a fb setup and takedown... my summer woes would be as good as gone!

I know the u2u's are inbound on the big blades still out there... yes i know, i want one, i need one, ill be happy with one, but no cash... :sniff:

Its just, the pro line of PL kites are on a completely different level, it'd be sweet to see that kind of design go into a jumper

we are redesigning the Access Range.

already testing the depower foil.

lots in store but it all takes time.

how much more lift do you want if there was a Pro Twister II???

hey rip,
I understand it takes time... i'm not sayin it all needs to be in my truck NOW! (id be nice, but yeah)

For me on my twister, giving moderate effort, in the highest rated wind, i can expect to get 5 footers pretty easily, my best jump was well above the rated winds and more in the 10 footer range. I know kite size and wind, as well as my weight all play a part, but it be sweet to bust out 10 footers at the drop of a dime and feel safer doing it... Hitting those ten footers scares the cr@p outta me because the wind is just screaming at that point... A big, fast, floaty jumper would help with that.

The core has the ability to turn so freaking quick, yet not lose any power, which makes it great for jumping... you gotta plan a little more for the twister, start your turns sooner, and work harder for the jumps. That and the light feeling of the core while your flying is really cool.

IDK, those of you that have flown both a twister and a blade, what makes the blade better? Maybe a simple AoA would make all the difference?

When you say how much more lift, its hard to quantify, but im thinking 50% more sounds good  lol
