Since the lake conditions are iffy at Elmers and cell phone service even iffy-er, how about the organizers designate one cell phone as *the* contact number and change the voicemail message on that phone daily as the conditions and/or pre-event lakebed changes. That way anyone calling for info would be assured of getting the day's message while you are out scouting or buggying or just plain cut off from the world. Of course you may have to drive up on a hill to change the message, but at least the word gets out.

yesterday my phone worked fine at elmers! go figure!

Thursday would be good. We'll be stopping in Arizona that night and will need to know which way to go once reaching Phoenix the next morning: North towards Ivanpah/Superior or continue on west to Elmers. Thanks!
