I think that i posted on a thread about this before but i have nee boarded allot and with my experiances i was on many occasions able to pull the back of my dads old trihull around on many ocasions so not being able to edge enough to keep lines tight is bunk in my opinion

also the kneeboard is pulled slower than other water boards and the woman ( girl ) wichever in the video was not using any where near the proper kite size any Apropriate water kite should do the trick

I have a kneeboard but have not tried it yet because i am still developing the kite skills necessary to give it a good effort to find out for my self if you can or can't kneeboard using a kite but my logic suggest that it shouldn't be a problem

once again all of this is opinion only and i support any one giving it a proper go

Since I can't fold up my ankles and knees that much, I always rode the kneeboard in a sitting position. I would strap my thighs down to keep me on the board. This came from riding around looking for smooth water to learn to barefoot. You can stop and float in a laid back position or in a sitting position with the board under water. You can certainly edge enough to keep the lines tight but I don't think you could avoid being dragged downwind to some degree either sitting or on your knees.
