for guy of average weight (160#) you'd probably pull your first longer scuds in 8-10 mph. You'd also need to be able to fly the kite in a fully
powered and fully controlled figure 8 right down wind of you.
wet grass and smooth-soled shoes vs boots on dry grass is a huge difference.
fixed bridles, flying static, been two years now... ??? folks must be wondering....
sting 1.7, dp power 2.5, crossfire 3.2, ace 5, blade iv 6.5, ace 8, ace 12...
also a couple of arcs, 12 syn and 12 phanny, but i\'m not yet up to speed on them.

If you wear skate shoes you significantly increase the odds of doing nice scuds in tall grass!

who the math wiz of this forum. sounds like a cool little formula to play with.
factor in grass blade length, width, moisture content, and angle of leaf to ground ratio :karate:
dont forget scudder weight , shoe type, kite size, barometric pressure:D

there's a bit of body english involved too... keeping your weight on toes vs heels makes a big difference.
one-legged scuds are the next step up....
