Mandibule kites? Seen them?

Most of you have seen the videos on YouTube of that French guy who has the old kite jumping record using those mandibule kites for jumping. I started looking around online for those 2 line foil jumping kites and I havnt seen them anywhere. I am completely satisfied with my Arcs but since I couldn't find those French kites anywhere, I have become frustrated. Do you know if they are still in production, or were they simply not made for the public? Any history info or info on where to find them would be helpful. Any tips?

I do not know where you can find them, but I have heard they are in the $1000 range.

what's the french for power kite? google that, brush up on le francais (fire up the translator add-ons) and see how far you get.

or just get a big blade / quadrifoil / crossfire / twister / etc.

I'd rather jump on a four-line, don't know how the mandibules have stood up to the test of time?!?

i shouldn't be talking, but as somebody who jumps static a fair bit, ..... 2 lines!?!?!? It's an old skool record, eh?

must say the french generally have quite the brass balls when it comes to taking risks, tho...

fixed bridles, flying static, been two years now... ??? folks must be wondering....

sting 1.7, dp power 2.5, crossfire 3.2, ace 5, blade iv 6.5, ace 8, ace 12...

also a couple of arcs, 12 syn and 12 phanny, but i\'m not yet up to speed on them.

It seems that it is a foggy area of power kiting. It's just that I've never heard anybody talk about them, but everybody has seen their videos

try mandibule.fr These seem to be the kites, but I'm not too sure if the site is still valid - not too stong with my French and the Google translator can be a little sketchy!

Thanks for the info guys. This is exactly the reason I like PKF. You can post a question and by the end of the day you get lots of helpful input. Thank you
