Kite Sleding..anyone tried this.

I was thinking about picking up one of those Round 4ft type disc sleds, and use that for getting dragged around instead of my bum. I want sit down on those (knees bended) and attach a strap to it and clamp that over my lap. I think it will be less friction and get better scuds. Anyone else try this ?

Do not strap yourself to anything like this - you will truly be sorry. I have made something similar in the past except I used an inner tube duct taped to the disc. It worked well, but had its problems as this video illustrates.

Attach some wheels and your on your way to a buggy. I put this together before building my first bug - good step to really want to get moving more efficiently.

I think the thought has crossed many a minds,
A south wind at 20mph+, 18m Raven, 6" toboggan, Grandpa, and 3 grandkids. Tie the chicken loop to the toboggan. And don't forget the cell phone. ..... 4 miles down the beach the bottom of the plastic toboggan is gone and everyone is wet from the surf, sand, surf, sand log, seaweed, surf, sand, stick, dead bird, log,..... Hello, Grandma can you come get us, Grandpa is chasing his kite down the beach and he told us to call 911. You put my grandkids in that kind of danger again and I will........
We all laugh about it now until grandma comes into the room.
