Kite Flying 3.6 Beamer NEED ADVICE [EDITED NEW QUESTION]

Ok Well...

EDIT NEW QUSETION :

Ok the diagram Below should explain most.

<-- Just Right Click and "View Image"

Bascaily, I Own 3.6 Beamer With a Flexdeck board.

Ive never really set it up on my own, my brother done it all while i fiendishly sat and watched then grabed it off him when it was time to go.

Now my brother has left and gone to bornio and now Im back to scartching and my head and giving up,

Ok .. to the point.

I Took it out today - only to the local park must of been 20mph winds, (I Live 5 miniutes from the coast it gets pretty windy)

well anyway, I tryed to remeber looking at how my brother done it, and set it all up properly

RED LINES = POWER LINE -- = GO ON TOP

BLACK LINES = BRAKE LINES = GO ON BOTTOM

Well, as I Tryed to get it up, it flew up .. flew down.. then a few foot above the ground just started spinning like a wind turbine extremeley fast in one spot , OFC took me ages to untangle it all, and i just gave up and went home....

NOTES :

Owned Kite for few weeks now, flown roughly 6 times.
I Normaly go up a place called "Highdown" bascialy huge open fields in the hills 8 miniute drive, from the top you view all the ocean.

Also -9 Stone-

CONCLUSION :

I Would like advice on how to setup properly -
I Would Like Advice on basic flying methods-

Probaly will edit this post to add to my list :wee:

Sounds like you either have stretched lines or one of your brake lines is tighter than the other.

To check for the stretched lines just pull them off the kite and handles, stab the ground stake into the ground and loop the lines around it and stretch them out to make sure they are the same lengths.

Make sure you attatch the brake lines to the same nots on each side of the bridle on the kite and the same for the power lines.

And welcome to the forum.

Hmm, the kite lines were all the same lengths and i counted on each side to make sure the brake lines were both the same,

Im using the handles with the brakes on the 3rd knot

Thanks for the speedy reply, and For the welcome

Go to www.coastalwindsports.com and check out the intructions.

The back stall means the brakes where too tight. They should be slack so use the knotts that make them longest then work back. Front lines choose the second knott in.
The spin suggests you didn't have both sides on the same knot. Too much brake on one side?

The best way to untangle the lines if they are all tangled is to stake down 3 and pull the 4th out from the end. Then repeat with 2 staked down.
