Starting my ARC Research
So It will be a couple months, ok maybe after Xmas. I am planning on purchasing my first ARC. I am looking at the Synergy since most will be up and
arms about the Charger coming out soon. Hopefully some RTF deals will come up when i am ready to purchase.
My Question is What size should i be looking for? 12m or 15m?
I weigh 145lbs ,,, I would say most of the time the Winds are 10mph-20mph ...and some odd ball days when winds are in low teens gusting to 24mph.
Is the 15m too large for me, say when the winds are 18mph?
Whats the low end on these kites? high end?
I can get some small jumps in with my 9.5 Montana in 11mph winds. Can i do the same with the ARC?
Someone around the same weight as me with a Synergy or any ARC would be awesome to hear some input.
Thanks :P

I'm finding I need at least 10mph before my Syn is acting right. I have take it out in the mid to high 20's and LOVED it !
It is hard to get your head around flying a 15m when others are lit on 5m fixed bridles and it not being at all overpowered. In it's sweet spot even !
Don't let the size fool you . It will cover most of your 9's winds ( If it works under 10mph? ) and all of your 7's .
My 15m is 9m Projected with HUGE depower. Floats like a 13 and turns like a 7 ?
Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.
Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

go with a 15m
i'm super light and go beyond the windrange and feel totally safe. dont forget you have depower + the trim strap + internal kite settings so you can
adjust even more.

I am thinking the same thing. My birthday is next month and I am just asking for money for a kite :singing: If I don't get enough for a good used
Synergry 15M RTF, then I will have to wait till Christmas money.
I too am waiting for Synergy users to switch to the Charger. Will be happening soon. Is already with some. Last I saw Tridude has a 15M Synergy
for sale RTF for $600. That is a great deal. Wish I had the money now!!!!

Buddy of mine works for US Airways. and i could fly for free if he comes. So I am thinking he could come with me and I could plan at some point and
meet up with someone to try there arc. Why havn't i thought of this before when i was having so much trouble figuring out how to put a depower
kite and board together a last year? :puzzled:
Heck why didn't i think about this for NABX?????????? I think i have a new BFF

Another question, if i were to get into one, but here in the windy city, we only winds of about on avg 15mph at the high end, except for those crazy
days where i barely can walk.
would a 15m help out in those kinds of speeds?

based on two static flights with a synergy 12: 15 mph high end you will want at least the 15 m size.
After you are well used to it, you might be able to fly the same kite in your crazy winds, but if you truly can barely walk (60 mph-80mph) well no,
stay at home until peter lynn invents the kite for those winds.
fixed bridles, flying static, been two years now... ??? folks must be wondering....
sting 1.7, dp power 2.5, crossfire 3.2, ace 5, blade iv 6.5, ace 8, ace 12...
also a couple of arcs, 12 syn and 12 phanny, but i\'m not yet up to speed on them.
