4 meter legend......bridal stretch

Hey does anybody know how to figure out which bridle line to tighten up on a legend 4.5 m.....my kite will not go to zenith unless I remove the brake lines (useless)... and even then it doesn't really want to go up.....I can't figure it out

anyone?

Dino do you know if pansh sells replacement kits?

Yes, Pansh sells replacement kites, a 4.5 legend is $129.00:lol: I have found that there are different measurements for the bridle of a specific kite depending on when it was made. Sorry to say, but toss it in the closet and get another kite. If you are up to the challenge you could play around with the kite and try to fix it your self or you can email Rose and tell her the problem and ship it to Pansh and wait to see if they will or wont fix it and it could take months to get an answer one way or the other.

I need more info. Like 1) what do you mean brakes useless? 2) and will it fly at all? it sounds to me that your power bridles are stretched. Try to lengthen the brake leads and see if that helps any. Might check the Pansh forum and see if anyone has measurements for ya' to try fabbing your own.

make you some leader extensions for your brakes and put like 4 or5 knots in it. Then larks head it to the brake lines and that sould give you enough adjustment to make her fly nice again.

how much wind are we talking about? You'll need about 10mph to make it stay at the top.

sorry bro you just missed out. I had a whole bridle set here for a 4.5 and I gave it away to Ron. His kite was doing basically the same thing. We need to hook up and i will let you fly some peter lynn vipers. I need to get those Pansh out of your bag. Your flying experience will be soo much better .... and don't worry about the price you know I will take care of you. Lets call it partial sponsorship or something like that :)

Dino-thanks for bridle set. I changed it out. I can get it to zenith but no power and the tips still flap around. I may have to try the viper. Thanks for the Blaze II, I am starting to get the hang of it.

art_lessing, if no one else comes up with something by the weekend, I'll pull my 4.5m Legend out and we can at least get you some measurements to look at.

@art: (and maybe fogg)

don't try to rescue that beast. get a viper. If dakitez says online he's willing to semi sponsor you then milk that for all it's worth! (via u2u of course)

I've got four pansh kites, 2 legends and 2 aces, and they have taught me far more about how to modify kites and bridles than all my other kites put together!

fixed bridles, flying static, been two years now... ??? folks must be wondering....

sting 1.7, dp power 2.5, crossfire 3.2, ace 5, blade iv 6.5, ace 8, ace 12...

also a couple of arcs, 12 syn and 12 phanny, but i\'m not yet up to speed on them.

I agree they are cheap but are they worth the hassle? My legend is more like my ace and I don't think the construction is super relialable. Like my opinion matters

three sentences there...

Sentence one: They were worth the hassle, frankly. they forced me to research kites and bridles, which taught me loads I might not have learned with the better kites.

I was forced to buy them as well because I wasn't about to spend much cash on a new hobby.

now things are different and my priorities are more clear... i buy kites I know will last and perform for years and years and years, because that's how long I know I'll be messing about with this sport.

couldn't quite make sense out of the second sentence... yes the bridles suck but the canopy itself seems to be OK on both.

and the third ...well of course your opinion matters! :puzzled:

I have to laugh :lol::lol::lol::lol: like hanging onto an old blanket - sentimental reasons?
Ship me your 4.5 legend and $200.00 and I will trade you a 4m Brooza II for it( used only a couple of times and is 100% guaranteed). You will understand the difference between a cheep kite and a great kite.

If ya want wind ,Just hurt your back. Then the wind will blow exactly how you like it.
That is what happened to me. Hurt back last Mon., and the wind has been kickin' ever since. I need another wk or so, of takin it easy before I can try kitin again.:(
And I gotta give Pansh kites credit. When you get good enough to fly the crap out of a Pansh kite. You will be a master of a Quality kite fo' sho'..... yo!
