I'm thinking in the 8 to 12 meter selection or bigger? Intermediate kiter....traction mainly and looking to go no more than 600 as used is fine.

It is not me. It is the kites. I am an ok pilot with superb kites. I give the all the credit to Sky Country's chief designer Alexey Rakov.
Great to meet you Tonka. Still amazed that you know Dusty's brother. Looking forward to that beer.

p.s. Sunrise Park is at 5th and Rupert. It was my secret place for static flying.

Is there room to ride there ?

Is it soggy in winter?

What wind directions ?????

WHY have you been hiding this spot Scudley :frog:

OH and the CATCH ...... "Flou" is the only 10 that has made it to North America. You won't find one on here  and now your hooked :ninja:

10 kVA power lines across street on south side.
Not really room to ride. In winter on weekends it is a soccer pitch. In spring baseball diamond in use and they put an outfield fence across the park, basturds
Grass field with good drainage. Grass is usually damp enough to get good scuds. Much drier than Vanier.
SE and NW are best. S is complete crap. SW is very lumpy. On SE you scud the ball diamond. It must freak out the ball players - Someone slid from home to first. On the rare occasions we get NE excellent.
Because I am a selfish plick. No, it was on the PKC list of flying spots. It not really that nice but it is close to my place.

Phlo is not the only10m in North America. Fastrak has a baby blue white baby blue one. He got the used one they had in Kharkov. He also has an 8m as well as the 5m. I have never flown an 8. He says he really likes it for his local winds.

:wow: The best sounding spot available in Metro Vancouver and you have been hiding it ! Room to scud and soccer players. Sweeeeeeet ! Why do you bother with Vanier ;)

I think that I think that white with blue lightning bolt is one of my favorite. 10m must look twice as good as that 5m did.
I'm glad more people are enjoying these kites. They are a real sleeper.

You should try the spot, I was able to fly there and not feel intimidated by the powerlines and such. I could see it getting a little crampt for big winds but for a quick fly before diner with the outlaws it is ideal!

half the year it is divided by one of those stupid temporary fences so the little leaguers know when there is a home run.
I forgot to mention it typically has a IDSI* of about 7. Yesterday, it was a 2.
S

*IDSI= International Dog Sheet Index scale 0= none 10=piled higher and deeper
