who cares what they were using, who are the top 3, did Ozzy make it? Ari?

no matter the gear, I would rather know who rode in the race. Kites don't make the rider, Rider makes the kite.

Arjen got 6th in the Over-All Open!!! way to go Bro!!!! keep going fast!
is this Ozzy????

well I wouldn't say "who cares", I will say you are right though, a good kite alone won't bring much, but
I think it is pretty amaizing for a company to design there first real Race kite and in the first really big event to get 2nd and 3rd place!!

Hats off to Peter Lynn!!!

Yup, thats me with my new helmet,.... the Vapor was doing well overthere in his first big race event. 2nd place Vapor with John Jansen, 3th place also Vapor with Jort Buwalda.

For me,... a bit disapointed,.....in the qualifyings Is was 6th / 7 th and then my kite got janked out of the sky, which cost me the place in the finals,...but next day I was first in the loosers round together with Michel Dekker, so we still got placed in the finals, Michel did not participated in the finals due to a injury, but I did,....then I got lifted out of my buggy, 11.2mtr in 5 bft is to much,..:puzzled: , and once my kite got twisted, I that also cost me my race.

But,...the vapor has big potential we were constand in the top 5 during the starts and races

Very cool pics! Just a qq... It looks like a lot of the guys are holding the handles near the brakes vs. the power lines. Is this common practice when flying handles on a strop and is this because you can get more leverage on the brakes? It just seems weird to me, but then again I haven't spent that many hours on a buggy, and never on handles with a strop.

Jovver,

we hold our hands more towards the brake lines to get more control during the race, when playing with the brake line you can " tune " the kite a bit during flight, , for example, when hitting a soft spot in the sand during the race, just pull a little bit more on the brakes, and you get more power from the kite.

regards,
Ozzy,..

They certainly seem to have wadded up kites much of the time. :puzzled:

Why is it that in races you see buggies in a constant slide sideways at times and they are running at a constant speed. The video is always too tight to see the big picture and why they would need to do that.
