Cirrus 6m Pro

Right, this is my first review on any kite, so ille do my best.

Intermediate

• Ready to Fly
• Quad Lines
• Aluminium Quad Handles
• Tough Ripstop Nylon Sail
• Pre-stretched Dyneema Lines
• Full Instructions
• FREE Repair Voucher
• Dacron Reinforcement
• Cross Vented Cells
• Storage Backpack

wind range- 6-30mph
aspect ratio- 4.60-1.32

So i got this got because the other one died, it was a hasty buy but one that i havent regretted since.

It comes in a nice bag with bar stashes and the usuals, the handles are standard.

The kite is great value for money at around 160 gbp and it looks menacing in the sky with its black, green and yellow colouring.

In low winds, almost apparent, this kite flies gracefully and easy to fly, it will loop etc. the only problem is that its a big kite and its not so fast on turning. i would even be confident of someone learning on this kite in LOW winds.

In a low constant half decent wind this kite is sooo much fun, its lift is very good even in low winds, i mean you can get a 6ft jump in a very low wind (pendulum) In the same winds im sure that this kite would be perfect for all your traction needs, apart from scudding on your bum, its got to be very windy for that.

In a fairly strong constant wind, and i mean the ones that are a strain on your arms, this kite is super stable in the air, it will drag you along very fast on a board or buggy and give you some great lift either static or in motion. The only problem in these kinds of winds though is that the kite isnt easy to land if you dont know the best way to do it, so not good for beginners in these kinds of winds.

Overall its an excellent kite and ive loved MOSTLY every minute of it. One bit of advice though if your not very experienced or confident that you can handle a big kite. DONT FLY IT IN GUSTY WINDS :D It will rip your arms out of their sockets and loft you like theres no tomorrow.

I hope that helps if you dont know much of these kites. Any questions? just ask.

Im not sure tbh, its a fairly new company based in the uk.

I dont think that you can buy directly from cirrus but they have alot of dealers scattered around the UK.

Theres little info anywhere in the kite world on the net about people that have cirrus kites.

One thing i do know that might help is that Cirruskites parent company is www.brookite.com. but thats uk too i think.

I will have to have a chat with one of the guys at Cirrus.

Sounds like a nice kite. As far as the slow turning, have you tried to use a little brake input to the direction you want the kite to go? Usually helps the kite make a tighter faster turn.

Yeah it turn faster but its still slow lol. it really is a slug for turning but i benefit from that when jumping. it doesnt yank me up and drop me out of the sky.

Another downside to this kite is the same as furbs ace 8, if the winds are choppy then after a jump it likes to try and bow tie, i dont get this problem anymore though since i started redirecting.

In a gusty wind this will loft then collapse in a second so its no good in unclean winds.

I had an ace 8m as well and it used to fold up all the time. I eventually added about 10 inches of line to the power bridals to change the angle of the kite and put several knots in that line to give me some adjustments. Once I did that, it was awesome! Maybe your cirrus could benefit from this as well, It is easy to set up and easy to take back off if need be. Nice thing about kites, you can add a little without making perm. changes to it.

Well im ok for it now but the guy i fly with has a lil trouble sometimes, maybe he can adjust the lines if he reads this, me though havent got a clue yet when it comes to fiddling with the lines.
