Hey Sailor,
Yep.
The Flexifoil 6' Power Kite.
Back in the late 80's, I believe.
Clocked at over 110 mph ground speed, I believe.

Back in the day of flying on long lines - 150' plus.
And Stacks!
Peels and Chevrons!

yep. i remember the record was held by a 6' Flexifoil 'Stacker'. The Flexifoils are basically, high AR, very rectangular foils with one leading edge spar, no bridle and two lines.
I believe they are:
4' Hotshot, 6' Stacker, 8' Pro team, 10' Super 10, I've only heard of a 4' Hotshot I know nothing about it.
I still have a Super 10 and I believe it has 150' lines. I wanted a 6' or 8' but the kite shop had only a 10'.
I can't remember the name(s) but there were/are some deltas made for speed. the ones I seen hanging in a kite shop were quite large too and pretty high aspect.
A lot of fun was had watching/listening to my Super 10 scream(literally) across the sky. The harder you pulled on the handles the more it loved it.
I'm not sure but I think it would be easy enough to find those Flexis still new or close to it.
I probably would have added the 6 and 8 footers too had i not started flying Revs.

A couple of those sparred stackers came up for sale from time to time in the UK when I first started lurking the kite forums a couple of years ago....

But yes it's been ages since I've seen one for sale.

I'd like to fly one some time, also a rev, definitely the blast at some point...

Every kite has something unique to teach, I find...

fixed bridles, flying static, been two years now... ??? folks must be wondering....

sting 1.7, dp power 2.5, crossfire 3.2, ace 5, blade iv 6.5, ace 8, ace 12...

also a couple of arcs, 12 syn and 12 phanny, but i\'m not yet up to speed on them.

They come up on EBay and also Kite-Classifieds (there is a custom one there now.... but way pricey). I believe there is a store out on the Cape (Cod) that still has a backlog of the Flexifoils.

Same designer also made the Premier RM Speedfoils... tad newer, so you can still find them.

For giggles you might also want to do a YouTube search for "Long Duong Tiger II"
