Money in the bank ready to order a 15. They are supposed to be faster turning than synergy with double the power increase than there was between the
Venom II and synergy. Pretty lofty claims but these are from guys and gals that have flown them.

My contemplation is whether to get a syn 15 or a charger 15. Is the extra dough/wait time worth it?

If those are the claims, they'll be well worth the wait if true (chargers) but the learning curve is quite a bit different than FBs IMHO (2 flights on
my synergy, it's good but takes very different handling esp in big winds) so you should get started now on a syn and then get a charger later, you'll
get more out of it then, and the syns won't lose their value too quickly, venom II kite only still good for $400, syns will always be a big step up
from that.
And yes definitely the ticket for strong bumpy winds.
all from a fellow newbie, basically, so of course just my 0.02, hope it helps your thinking.

I've owned venom 13m and scorp 16m (and flown a phantom 15 and syn 10m) so i've definitely got the feel for the arcs. Just haven't ever flown a syn
15m so I'm not sure what to expect past the scorp :P . I'm hoping for a one kite quiver and that kinda requries better low end and better depower for
high end. Hmmm So hard.

I am wondering the exact same thing. I got about $300 saved up and am gonna keep saving. I think I will start out with a Syn. They seem to have
good reviews about being a great all around kite that a beginner (to depower) could learn on.

Lol yeah, I'm hoping that there will be more synergys on the market after people upgrade. I wouldn't mind cobbling up a nearly new synergy to go along
with my scorpions

yeah, i'm an idiot, shoulda looked at your avatar photo, that would've reminded me you've had them in the past...
but double the power increase sounds like it would have better low end as well?
yeah I'm curious about the reviews too... obviously...

Although I really have enjoyed the scorp and it has really allowed me to stretch my landboarding legs quite far it just didn't suite the needs of my
conditions. After flying the venom then moving to the scorp it obviously wasn't as much of a forgiving kite just because it's so INSANE! It doesn't
munch the gusts as much as the venoms did because of how aggressive it was. I had too many bummer sessions where I left really frustrated because my
winds were too off/on. The Scorp is one of the fastest and most aggressive arcs from what I have read and because of this it takes a little bit of
finnessing to get it up. The times where I was trying to make something from nothing (crappy winds) were what I"m hoping to just get rid of.
I'm hoping the synergy/charger is easier to launch and perhaps more stable in those gusty conditions.
Long story, probably more than you needed to know... but the only way to explain it all :P

Where are you shopping? The only place I've seen Chargers listed is on http://www.ripsessionkiteboarding.com/ and that's both preorder and without a price listed.

What I understand is that the kites are ready for sale but not yet released pending final approval and manufacture of the new bar. Angus, Dakitez,
and Rip (and others?) will have them on their sites when we can buy them.

When I asked earlier this week if the Chargers were still on track for release in late September, Marijn backed down a bit, not wanting to jinx
himself. But it's getting close.
Unless I move to the water, I will keep my Synergy for now. Gunnar says that the Charger flies slightly more inside the window than the Syn, so I
will hang onto it for the upwind work in the bug.

Update pending release.
Good to hear the buzz going round!
Okay, what's up.
Right now we have the Core, Reactor II and the Charger coming from the same factory, and since both the Core and R II are doing better then expected
sales-wise we had to bump up production for these which resulted in having to set back the Charger production a bit.
Right now we expect the Charger to become available end of October, and we'll release it together with the new Navigator bar because the new bar
really compliments the kite and will take the Arc into 2010 standards.
But I say this with some hesitation, like Angus said, I don't want to jinx anything.
Good things take time...
There is a review on the kiteforum;

I see the kite but NOT the Navigator bar?
I'm getting mixed messages about the bar.
Can anybody please explain exactly how the Navigator bar will allow me to get " the most " out of my Charger when compared to using my Twin Skin bar?
In my little mind the stiffer structure and VP3 are the key to the better handling more so than the bar.
