New to ATB
I've always thought that landboarding has looked cool, but have never gotten a chance to try it. The only kite I have is a 4.1m Twister II, and I was
wondering how fast I could go on a landboard in 15mph winds.

your size and the type of ground matter...
im a big guy, and in 15mph winds, with a 5.6 twister, on grass... i can get screaming pretty fast. I can easily speed past cars traveling around the
fields i fly at... so approx 15-20mph...
Right conditions, right training, right everything... doubling the wind speed isnt impossible... i believe a buggy went 75mph+ in 35ish mph winds on a
3m kite
PL: Twister II 5.6m, Phantom 15m / 12m, 10m Synergy, JIBE Viper 5.3m, Charger 19m

i recently researched/bought an (MBS) ATB so I'll pass on some findings.
MBS recommends beginners start out with tire pressure set between 5-15 psi. this low psi will keep your speed down some.

Thanks for the comments. I weigh about 130 pounds and a lot of the time I will be riding on short grass but sometimes I will be riding on grass 3
inches+. What would be a good board to start out with, not too expensive, but also not junk, and I would like to be able to jump and get some decent
air on it.

do they recommend this for kiting??? i would think the sideways torque would peel the tires right off the hubs if the pressure were too low?

youre jumps are going to be more determined by your kite, not really your board so much... go with ground industries is my recommendation, spend as
much as you can afford... i havent ridden any of the new boards, but even their old stuff rocks.... super stiff and stable

good question.
i thought about it too but figured MBS figures a beginner isn't going to be carving it up that heavily.
i've only tried ATB once with kite and just did a few rather short passes and the kite pulled me mostly forwards and not sideways. i did have 30 psi
in the tires too though. i inflated the tires before reading about ATBs.
