First Snow sessions?
even in North Dakota, I can't claim the first snowfall :wink2:, but I know some of you guys are mountain dwellers (as i wish to be), and have the good
life of lapse rates.
So as the first layers plop down, throw up your first snow session date when it comes!
Anyone already lucky enough? I hear CO got sticking snow in the mountains a few days ago....

yep. 32 C and 90% humidity in HK at the moment, 8 kn winds from the NE, skunked for all my usual beachside flying spots!

haha yep! our nights here are starting to hit low 40's high 30's already (F). And i know all my friend here originally from colorado were going crazy
because the first snow fell in the ski resorts of the mountains!
They might be riding as early as the end of this week.
And who know, around here, we could be the same hahaha!

Our weather is still ranging from 50s to 70s...
I don't see snow coming here soon, but we did have one of the coldest summers I've ever seen.

I'm anxious to start kiting , but not ready for winter ...yet. I've got a huge bluegrass field nearby that just needs a few inches of snow this fall
and I'll be cruisin'...and an 11M FYX that I can't wait to try out.

I was soooo close to my 1st session yesterday. Calgary had a forecast for a dump this weekend but the ground was still too warm. When the flurries
stopped Sunday noon the wind was great but there was only 1/2 an inch of slush on the soccer fields.
Looks like someone in Idaho, Montana, or Wyoming could be ready for a session today or tomorrow.:wee:

I'm in Texas. Snow is only something that thinks about happening once or twice a year. And it might last 1/2 day at that! 87 degrees today.

We got ours the other day - enough to tease us but not enough to play on.....although I DID see a X-country skiier that just couldn't resist the urge.
I need one more warm up before it sets in though - forgot to drain the garden hose, blew the diverter valve (froze and split the brass) and now the
tap is stuck open, plugged with ice. I guess I could just leave it and get my ice skates sharpened up for that morning I wake up and find that the ice
plug let go

Snowed here last night too, but yeah, just a teaser, maybe half an inch. If it's gonna be this cold, then bring on the snow. It is plenty windy
though, maybe a downwinder on a plastic sled??? :o

:wee: I couldn't resist it - got another inch or so today so I headed out after work. The wind died but I still got a workout with the XXXL and
snowblades on the local school field.
In typical Calgary fashion the weather is going from 19 degF today to 66 deg F by Sunday and I'll be back landboarding.

It's supposed to be in the low 90's on Fri and Sat!!! It did get down to 58F a few nights ago....nearly froze my a$$ off ;-)

With the crazy weather we've been having these past few years im ready to believe anything.
I remember here a couple years ago on Jan 2nd n 3rd the temps got to be in the mid 60's, i was wearing shorts in winter :/...
then the week after we got a major snow storm.
