Get ready to be flamed for not suggesting a Libre. There are a few that suggest that they are the only logical choice and can get rabid about it.
But your choices are fine; esp for starters. I'm very happy with my PL Bugs, but it is true that you will have to accessorize in some fashion for
back support.
The axles of both will pop off with no tools in 30 seconds or less and same with the foot pegs (you need a key or pen or something pointy for those).
My XR+ will go in the back of my lil' Toyota Carola with one back seat folded down. Get the wide tires- even if you ride on hard-pack, it make
dragging through soft sand to get to the hard-pack easier.
The bigfoot's tires are the big issue for shear volume. 21 x 8 x 3 tires is a lot of space but it will go in the back of most SUV's with the axle
off. The elegant solutions I have seen (besides my kitemobile trailer) is a rack that fits into a tow hitch receiver and supports the kite vertically
on the back of the SUV.
You are welcome to come up to Jekyll for some test runs. My XR+ is on loan to a local prospective buyer but we could likely borrow it for a run.
