Great Morning on the snow

Woke up to a chilly -10 with 17 mph winds coming in nicely from the NW. Bundled up and took the buggy out before the snow gets to deep (3") out there now.
Decided the Scorpion would get the call, and loaded up the truck. I arrived at the field I've been using and the sun was coming up over horizon and the snow had a red hue to it...sweet.
The NW winds on this site are perfect, it is a rolling hill side approx 3 miles long. There are some nice ramps mother nature built for launching and you can always turn downhill to pick up speed if the need arises.
I put my home built sand bags, 3"x3' tubes made of marine tarp onto the Scorpion and opened the zipper and she filled up nicely. Checked all my strap settings and geared up.
One of the steadiest wind days I've seen in a long time and now three hours later its dead calm but hey got my time in.
Just had a great time, little sore but happy.. Little hard to land the buggy when there is very little traction out there so did a couple wild OBE's. Definitely had some good runs and sweet air, that Scorpion can rip you up like a feather and turn on a dime but can float you along very nicely.
Really liking the PL carbon axle ( now on number 4 axle), its a loaner to see if I want one very nicely done boys and no one has mentioned price which scares me.
First mustache freeze up of the season with many more to come...lol
Rev, got to get those shin guards back from you. Beating the hell out of my legs, grounds starting to firm up....ouch....lol

At asked the kite factory how much and I think it was just over $200. Sounds like they can make them for PL bugs and the Flexis. I didn't think that was too bad. I think on the front page of their site there was pics of guy with one. peterlynnkites.com

very nice axle, does bounce a bit more than the old axle. Wonder what they will cost here in Canada, shipping costs seems like were in a third world country.

I think you may have put this in the wrong thread. There was another thread that was asking about skis on buggies.

wow, woke up this morning to a dead calm. Around lunch here now and winds up to 8 mph and starting to snow huge flakes. Heading out with the Guerilla and ski's, should be a hoot.
Fill in details later.

Cheers

Another wild day, snowing to the point of a white out, had to keep shaking the kite to keep the snow off. No air time but spent a lot of time going sideways in the buggy...lol

We had a few early showers of snow earlier this month in CT. But nothing worth measuring for at least another month or more.
