Rian, if you have a wetsuit, you can hit still hit the water. Lodging is cheap in OBX (where I am right now), and you can get yourself a lesson from Kitty Hawk or Real. Though the smaller folks might be better quality lessons. Little more expensive though. Just need a decent wetsuit. Though, I am sure it will get too cold for even that sometime soon.. (two months?).
