DANGER***Watch that leash when landboarding!!!
Great session today, only bad moment was when I smashed my left knee into the hard sand when my freakn' leash got wrapped up in my back tire. Long
story short, I was tucking down, (both knees bent, almost sitting on the board) Cookin’ at about 25mph, when all of a sudden...SMAHSHHHHHH my left
knee hits the sand, dragged a little, recovered, started pacing back and forth trying to collect my composure making sure I just didn’t leave half my
knee spilt all over the sand.
Recap: DONT LET YOUR LEASH TOUCH YOUR TIRES!!!
Blown, swolen knee, can hardly walk right, icing will bring relief; no big deal
One week of hobbling around like 90 year old war vet, and realizing the importance of knee pads when landboarding :priceless

My knees are more than half the age of those of a "90 year old war vet"
I always wear kneepads, but I fell and twisted/torqued my right knee a certain way that has left me a little limpy for the last 12 days or so.
I'm thinking of adding knee wraps or braces to prevent those sideways injuries and impacts.

its a scary feeling, your knees are kind of an important piece of the puzzle, def going to wear knee pad for now on and even wraps for the side

knee pads - crash short - helmet. the three essential bits of protection when landboarding. falling forward - you tend to land on your knees.
falling to the side - you tend to fall on your hip. falling backwards - you tend to fall on your tailbone then the back of your head hits the ground.
if you wear these thrree bits of protection then accident will be down to a minimum!!!
and for those too cool for school
the crash shorts and knee pads can be worn under clothing and helmets come in all shapes colours and designs.
lets be careful out there!!
