how do i attach a chicken loop to a 4 line bar ?

Well the title i think explains it, how do i attach a chicken loop to a 4 line bar ( non depower) , i did my research and learnt that i just like hook the chicken loop onto the spreader then put the " donkey dick " through the spreader hook thing.

but i am stumped when it comes connecting the chicken loop to the bar itself, :o

thanks

a 4 line bar that is not a depower bar can not use a chicken loop. the closest thing you can get to it is a strop

That is what Dakitze ( and I ) call a D-loop.
It is exactly what you want.
I can't speak for the 5.6 but when I tried the 7.7 twister on a stock P.L. bar it was lousy.
Maybe a crossover bar might work better but I just ordered my 7.7 Twister on handles.

That's a three line trainer kite. Not a four line kite.

YES, that is a chicken loop but the Imp isn't a normal kite.

You either want the new bar by ozone or a D-loop for a stock P.L. bar.

HQ also makes a D-loop. I don't know which is cheaper, the PL or the HQ.

The new ozone bar is a whole new ball of wax. I suggest you read about it + search for it in a past discussion on here.

The bar that the Twister comes with doesn't allow for much brake input when you turn the kite. The front lines do the turning and the back just sort of rolls to follow. This made a big kite like the 7.7 super slow to turn because there was almost no brake input.

I have made a thing called a crossover bar. It gives 2 / 1 brake input to the kite relative to how hard you turn. This helps a LOT with bigger fixed bridles.

Why are you so keen to go to a bar ?

YES HQ and P.L. make a D-loop. ?

The Flow is a kite ?

Probably it comes with the new bar ( turbo ? ) that has a chicken loop.

The only person I know with a Flow got it on handles ?

Ummm... no... standard FB 4-line bar. The Flow was available through dealers quite a bit (comparatively) before the Ozone Turbo Bar was. :sniff:

So, how does the bar / kite use a chicken loop + a wrist leash ?
How is it attached ?

This must be it but I still don't see how it is attached ?

When I made my version of the turbo bar, I used a torsion release wichard on 1/4 Amsteel. That goes through the bar
and to the power lines pulley. After I built it, I realized that I could have just bought a chicken loop. I might still get one , so I can get my wichard back. I need to get my hot wire rig back together. I don't want to buy another 75-80$ wichard.

Wichard pricing does tend to illicit a love-hate reaction. Nice kit and all that cold shiny steel, but can get spendy and doesn't necessarily promote the rushing out to get backup items.

That and the odd bits tend to take a bit longer to special order that most other products.

Hot-wire rig? Share with the class.... pretty please

Sure you could. Think of it as a twist on the cliche... "I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you."

This way, you would just be saving yourself some work.

;) :wee:

Odd, I've never seen a Flexifoil D-loop. Their Extreme Bar (for fixed bridle) comes with a chicken loop, top-hat safety and leash, every bit like a depower bar.

FWIW, Peter Lynn makes a D-Loop as well

The 2004 or 2005 Bullet manuals show a harness strop (D-Loop) for the Control Bar option (thankfully with what looks to be a quick release).

Oddily enough, I was looking through them, while researching something else.... insomnia is just not pretty sometimes ;)
