it will probably be fixed bridle while on land--i cant justify flying a depower on such small fields--if i can find 3 miles or more--then i could see it--but in a half mile field i run out of room FAST..... i'll use the 12.5 psycho and the 17m bomba for the water......

I choose my reactor IIs/Blurr or an appropriate arc depending on wind strength and the site angle/length of run.

Started out on the FB stuff and moved onto the ARC's. Do I have a favorite? Yes I do.. every single one of them when the wind is blowing and there's a grin on my face.

I prefer to fly either my beamer 5m or 7m. Mostly the 5, I love it's range.

I generally use FB kites when I buggy as I have never found any other kite to have the performance that the FB kites deliver. Keep in mind that our conditions are quite different from most.

If I didn't have a FB available, the next choice would be pl twinskins (Scorp or Phanny). I would probably go home before using an LEI.

Not intended to start any flaming wars or insinuate anything, you asked my choice and that is is. Others will obviously have different opinions, responses and choices. :)

IMO, I totally have to agree with Kent.
Even though I have only ever flown depowers maybe 2 or 3 times, I just can't get used to how sluggish and slow turning they are.

I fly my Outlaws when in the buggy. If winds are really nuking, I go looking for a 2m fixed bridle. :)

tdmc96,

What depowers have you flown? Try an LEI if you get the chance, you will never complain about sluggish and slow turning again!

voted depower, although I also use FB's a lot. The Pulse has quickly become my favorite in the bug. When I have more money I'll be looking to add another couple of DP's to my quiver.

Yeah, I gotta agree w/ Kent,I love the control I have w/ FB. And I gotta admit , I fly overpowered sometimes. But "park and ride"is sweet, that is why I do it. That is why I probably have a record for # of flips, highsides,OBEs.:wee: I just wondered what everyone flew when they buggy. I know I'm biased towards FB, as that is all I own and have ever flown.

FB for me in the buggy... racing stripes are the best!

I think some of the preference for FB over depower kites is because of the handles - bar issue...

Has anyone flown a PL twister II 7.? on a bar? Hopefully not unless you have 100 meter lines:eekdrull: You need lines that long to get if to turn 180 degrees
Put the same kite on handles and you are fine.

I hate to admit but I was a FB addict, but along came a Scorpion and changed my view. You can tune them to what you like, turning isn't really an issue but the lift and float is awesome.
When the wind is nuking I still pull out the 1.8M Century, on my second as #1 disintegrated in the air...boom. We even had a wake for her, bloody Irish look for any reason to party...lol

ARC or Neo when I have long tacks for park and rides, down to 8 mph wind. Lower winds or anytime I have to chop the beach with short tacks because of side shore winds, then FB for sure (Reactor II's).
